DELTA MANURE MARKETING BULLETIN

Beginning this fall, the SUSTAINABLE POULTRY FARMING GROUP is introducing a new manure marketing program - - the COMBINED SAVINGS PROGRAM - - which will increase the availability of poultry manure to Delta crop producers and at the same time provide rewards for both seasonal and volume manure purchases.

Real savings are now possible for producers who buy manure in the fall and winter in anticipation of crop needs for spring fertilization. Additional savings are now also available in the form of year round volume discounts.

COMBINED SAVINGS PROGRAM ……. Please read below for more detail

üFirst Level of Savings happens in this way:

For manure orders placed during October 15 – Dec. 15, the new price would be $2.50 per cubic yard for manure delivered from November 1 – March 31. The new SPFG price for spring, summer, and early fall has also been reduced to $3.25 per cubic yard and will be in effect October 1, 2000.

ü Second Level of Savings

In addition to the reduced prices shown above, a further price reduction (or volume discount) is available. This second reduction, available for producers buying 2,000 cubic yards or more annually, will be refunded in the form of a rebate after total yardage purchased has been determined. This volume discount related to volume purchased is detailed below:

Lower prices for overall year round manure delivery, in conjunction with the new volume discount together make up the COMBINED SAVINGS PROGRAM. Together, or separately, the COMBINED SAVINGS PROGRAM can increase your savings and buying power.
